G.O.D is the title of the artist known as Notorious Coo, third solo album. Reflecting back on the changes and plights in his life Mark Hamilton Aka Notorious Coo has expressed his life’s journey in this esoteric collection of personal philosophies, victories, and collective conscience growth.
G.O.D an acronym for Great Ones Destiny follows Notorious Coo on his road to enlightenment, from his debut album In The Eyes Of Coo to his latest release Trap Game and his mix tape Controversy, all leading up to the only possible outcome for Notorious Coo.
“I believe that in the great scheme of things that we are all evolving if nothing more than consciously the next stage for man would naturally be to take into our own control our destiny’s we perceive the power to do such things as being mythological or unworldly, so by definition I guess we would become Gods in our own rite, and that’s what this album is about, self empowerment. Taking control of your own existence, understanding how you impact everything around you, and what your position is in the great scheme of things.”
After a receiving consider notoriety for his 2007 release distributed by Sony Music In The Eyes OF Coo, hit single Freak n Me featuring Katt Williams, Notorious Coo then known as Coo “The Ghetto Poet” received his first experiences touring and traveling, although only leaving the states to visit the Caribbean’s the seed had been planted and Notorious Coo set out to be not just a national act but an International one.
So following up the success from his first release two years later with his sophomore album Trap Game, but not before spending time incarcerated and loosing nearly everything he had accomplished up until that point, Notorious Coo was forced to start over and reinvent himself. So as Notorious Coo a trumped-up alter ego of Coo “The Ghetto Poet” who was a laid back conscious hip hop head spilling his heart and soul in his songs, Notorious took over. Notorious Coo can be explained as the evil twin fighting to get out for many years and now that he has finally found his way out he clearly shows his intentions to stir up dissension and turmoil in the industry. By not conforming to popular beliefs and completely contradicting issues such as organized religion, politics, and opposing authority every opportunity he gets. Trap Game spawned two great singles one Listen to Your Heart an old school sampled track with a consistent flow on taking advice on love matters from your heart, the other Deejay’s a tribute to all Disc Jockeys which went on to become the number 1 requested club song in the world over the summer of 2010.
From the success of the single “Deejay’s” Notorious Coo received radio rotation getting up to number 28 on the charts with little to no marketing and promotion, and no major recording contract. He also put together his own international tour spanning from Los Angeles to Osaka Japan.
Back for another summer Notorious Coo intends to not only make his new single off his third album G.O.D a major mainstream success but also a full-fledged production. Notorious Coo envisions his future as an artist growing to a point where he will be accredited for raising the performance bar of hip hop, rap, pop, and rock through his live stage performances. These productions he intends to incorporate many aspects of today’s technology, using Augmented reality, Holograms, virtual reality, 3D, 4D, fiber optic lights and so forth bringing a new meaning to live performances.
